POLICE SAY THEY GOT THE CALL OF A SHTIOONG IN THIS AREA AROUND 8:13 AT DURING THE COURSE OF THEIR INVESTIGATION. THEY SAID THE MAN AND A PREGNANT WOMAN WERE SITTING IN THEIR CAR WHEN ANOTHER VEHICLE WITH TWO PEOPLE INSIDE PULLED UP BESIDE THEIR CAR AND THAT IS WHEN IT SHOT SWING OUT. POLICE SAID THAT THE DRIVER OF THAT CART WITH THE TWO SUSPECTS INSIDE ACTUALLY GOT OUT AND STARTED FIRING SHOTS AS WELL, STRIKING BOTH THE PREGNANT WANOM AND THE MAN. NOW THE MAN WAS PRONOUNCED DEAD AT FIRST. THEY WERE TAKEN TO JOHNS HOPKINS HOSPITAL, THAT WOMAN, AND SHE WAS PRONOUNCED DEAD A SHORT TIME LATER. DOCTORS CURRENTLY HAD TO PERFORM AN EMERGENCY DELIVERY AND THAT BABY RIGHT NOW AT LAST CHECK IS IN CRITICAL CONDITION. NOW POLICE COMMISSIONER MICHAEL HARRISON MAYOR BRANDON STTCO AND STAHATAY JACKSON WERE AT THE PRESS CONFERENCE FOR TODAY LOOKED SAD DURING THE PRESS CONFERENCE. A man and a 38-year-old pregnant woman were both shot and killed Thursday night in east Baltimore. City police said the victims were sitting in their car in the 300 block of E. 23rd Street when another car with two people inside pulled up beside them and opened fire. Both victims were taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital where the man was pronounced dead, police said. The woman gave birth to her child and died a short time later, police said. Police said the newborn baby is in critical condition due to the emergency surgery. Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott said the following during the news conference: “I could sit here tonight and tell you a whole bunch of things but what we really need to focus on the fact that something caused this to happen.To be quite honest and frank, I don’t really give as*** what the conflict was, we cannot have folks shooting at pregnant women in our city.”Police did not provide a description of the suspects.
